As you know the Affiliate Marketing industry continues to be an exciting and dynamic one. The industry is growing and evolving, and LinkConnector is constantly making changes to evolve with it.

While we have upgraded our features and continue to offer industry-leading customer support, we have not changed our Merchant Terms & Conditions since February 2009. We recently took a hard look at these terms in an effort to better serve you and align our terms with industry standards. As a result, LinkConnector is updating our Merchant Program Terms and Conditions.

To allow time for each merchant to review the new monthly minimum structure, the new terms will not be effective for existing merchants until February 1st, 2012. Any merchant that has reviewed and wishes to move forward with any Optional Account Management services in January may do so by contacting your account representative.

You can view a preview of these changes here.

The following represents a high level overview of the changes contained in this update:

  • LinkConnector is now offering Optional Account Management Services for self-managed and co-managed account types. These include:
    • Uploading of Merchant Links
    • Weekly review and approval of affiliate applications based on Merchant guidelines
    • Processing of event validations
    • Creation and distribution of monthly newsletters
    • Recruitment of LC affiliates and affiliates external to the network
    • Technical assistance with shopping cart integration
    • Monthly performance report
  • LinkConnector is now offering discounts to the Monthly Minimum LinkConnector Fee up to $500 for Co-Managed accounts and up to $1,000 for Premier accounts.
  • LinkConnector will now charge for the setup and launch of campaigns for a new merchant site beyond the first campaign for Self-Managed accounts and beyond any initial campaigns set up in the first 60 days for Co-Managed accounts. This action will not affect existing campaigns, or any setups which are essentially copies of existing campaigns.
  • LinkConnector reserves the right to debit a Merchant’s Prepay account for Pending events, but if we do, we will only do so based upon historical validation rates.
  • Merchants have additional obligations including:
    • Merchant must complete a transaction before redirecting a user off of the Merchant’s site intentionally.
    • Merchant must provide a clear link to their privacy policy.
    • Merchant agrees to provide a notice of seven days to an affiliate being removed from a campaign for any reason other than cause.
  • LinkConnector has added several new potential fees to better match the effort required for such work including a pipeline setup fee, a Naked Link campaign maintenance fee, and a minimum LinkConnector Transactional Fee of $0.30.
  • Language has been added relating to LinkConnector’s tax and legal obligations surrounding the new Affiliate Nexus laws.

If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please feel free to contact your account representative.

We wish you continued success in the New Year!
