Getty Images, creator and distributor of the world’s finest imagery and stock footage, is thrilled to kick off one of their peak seasons as the holidays approach. What does this mean for affiliates? It is an opportunity to target communicators (from corporations to individual graphics designers and bloggers) and earn commissions of up to 20% per sale from the trusted Getty Images brand.
Vector sites, coupon and loyalty affiliates, and bloggers are a just a few examples of known performers with the Getty affiliate marketing program. Getty is eager to deepen their affiliate relationships as they focus future online expansion endeavors within areas outside of North America and Europe. Their online reach is extensive and their commitment to arming affiliates with competitive offers is unparalleled—a statement we can attest to as Getty approaches its 7th year within the LC network.
LinkConnector’s Director of Merchant Relations, Jen King recently conducted an interview with Scott Bodie, Senior Online Marketing Specialist at Getty Images to get the most recent, inside scoop on Getty’s affiliate program.
What is it about your product/service that people love the most, or makes it stand out from your competitors?
Getty Images is among the world’s leading creators and distributors of award-winning still imagery, video, music and multimedia products. Its best-in-class photographers and imagery help customers produce inspiring work which appears every day in the world’s most influential newspapers, magazines, advertising campaigns, films, television programs, books and online media. A selection of the finest work on Getty from 2013 can be found on our InFocus site.
Do you have any upcoming exciting news/products that your affiliates and customers should be on the lookout for?
Yes, Getty Images Prestige has just launched and is a new selection of our highest-quality imagery, meticulously curated from across our vast and comprehensive collections.
Getty Images Prestige is where you will find the best examples of the major subject categories, such as wildlife, travel, business and lifestyle. It is also where you will find our most artful, challenging and visually intriguing imagery – the photography that features in our exhibitions -of-a-kind, without the time and uncertainty associated with commissioning your own custom photo shoot.
What two or three traits stand out to you the most when selecting and working with an affiliate partner? For example, responsiveness, innovation, ethics, industry knowledge, ability to turn volume, etc.
As a market leader, it is extremely important to us that affiliates are able to communicate the brand position and enhance the customer journey. Ethics play a part in this but we’re also always open to innovative affiliates who are willing to test creative ideas.
Where do you go to continue growing your affiliate marketing knowledge base?
Communicating with other members of the industry is extremely important to me. I also regularly attend performance marketing events such as Affiliate Summit West in the states and Performance Marketing Insights in Europe.
How do you attract quality affiliates to your program?
Our position in the market naturally attracts some affiliates to work with us but as a team we’re also constantly researching and contacting prospective affiliates. We’re able to offer bespoke commission deals for affiliates that are willing to the go the extra mile and try to come them in touch through regular communication and our site www.gettyimagesaffiliates.com
